Dedicated to the Protection of Native Bats
Protecting the long-term survival of Victoria's flying-foxes and microbats through education, habitat preservation, advocacy, emergency response and rehabilitation.
Protecting Victoria's Native Bats
Bats are essential to healthy ecosystems, pollinating native forests, dispersing seeds and controlling insect populations.
Every year, thousands of bats are impacted by habitat loss, extreme weather events, entanglement in backyard fruit tree netting, barbed wire fencing, glue traps and other human-related threats.
Bats Victoria works alongside communities, wildlife rescuers, carers, veterinarians and government agencies to improve outcomes for bats across Victoria.
